Prayer is one of the most important things a church does. Nothing we do as a church matters if we do not pray. This past weekend I challenged our congregation with this simple quote: “Lord, please let not our feet go where our knees have not been.” Believe it or not, this was a prayer that I prayed in private for our congregation, thinking it would be something between just me and the Lord; however, the Spirit had a different idea. He used that quote to resonate with a lot of our members. He used this quote to cause many to begin praying for their neighbors, their neighborhoods, and the city and world in which we live.
As a church, we want to come together and pray corporately for one another and for our city and world. Charles H. Spurgeon said, “Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.” As a church body, this is why we are getting together to pray. We want to plea with God, encourage one another, and move the muscle of the Omnipotent. We want to put our knees to the gospel before we put our feet to the gospel. We hope you want the same?! If so, join us…
