Who’s your one?
Imagine if every believer could answer that question with the name of a person who is far from God—a person for whom they’re praying and with whom seeking to share the gospel. That’s the intention behind Who’s Your One. We believe God’s people don’t merely need another method for evangelism— what they need is a white-hot passion to see people who are far from God experience the new life He offers through Jesus Christ.
Over the coming days, our church and countless others will prioritize personal ownership of the Great Commission as we each intentionally pursue one person with the hope of the gospel. At times, it seems the mission is simply too complex and too vast for churches like ours and people like us. While we can’t do everything, we can do something. We can all take responsibility for one. And, because of God’s power and the work of His Spirit, each of our ones can add up to make a significant impact for God’s kingdom.
At Restoration, we are inviting every member and every attender to participate in this opportunity with us. It’s as simple as:
1. Ready: Pray and Identify your one.
2. Set: Write the name of your one on a white ping-pong ball (available on Sunday mornings), pick up a 30-Day Prayer Guide and Bookmark, and begin praying for your one.
3. Go: Share the gospel with your one. *We have provided resources for you to read, study, watch, and use as a way to equip you for this.
4. Disciple: Once your one prays to receive Jesus, pick up a Welcome to the Family booklet and walk them through that booklet.
Who’s your one?
All resources will be available to you at the Next Steps table on Sunday mornings. Additionally, most resources do include digital copies. Therefore, we will include those links on our website.
Prayer Guide: Every attender will receive a PrayerGuide as we kick-off this campaign. The guide is to be used once you’ve identified your one. This will guide you through 30-days of prayer for that specific person(s).
Book Mark: Every attender will receive a Book Mark as we begin this campaign. One portion of the Book Mark (the actual Book Mark portion) has a place for you to put the name of your one on it. Below, the 30-days of prayer verses and check boxes are there to help you remember to set aside time to read and pray for your one.
Welcome to the Family: When your one surrenders his or her life to Jesus, we want to help you obey Jesus’ command of “making disciples.” One way we will do this is by providing you with a simple Welcome to the Family booklet that you can lead them through. This book provides an overview of the basics to the faith: baptism, prayer, reading the Word, etc.
Evangelism Tools: The Bible calls us to “equip the saints to do the ministry.” Therefore, we have included a few tools for you to consider using as you proclaim the gospel to your one.
